Chicken breast chops in the oven under a fur coat

I don’t know about you, but for a long time I simply didn’t know how to make chicken breast chops in the oven under a fur coat so that they turned out tender and juicy. No matter how hard I tried, the fillet always came out not very good - sometimes dry, sometimes tough... But one day I accidentally came across a recipe for chicken fillet under a fur coat in the oven in some culinary magazine. The ingredients needed for it were very simple, the process was not complicated, so I took the risk of preparing it.

And I was very pleased with the result! Chicken breast chops in the oven under a fur coat turn out very tasty and soft, as well as appetizing and beautiful. So now I often cook chicken chops like this for the holidays: for me it’s simple and quick, and my guests are absolutely delighted. My girlfriends and friends often ask for the recipe, so I think you will also be interested in how to properly cook chicken breast chops in the oven. Shall we go to the kitchen?

Ingredients:

  • 1 chicken fillet (weight approximately 200 g);
  • salt, black pepper;
  • 0.5 tsp vegetable oil;
  • 1 tsp butter;
  • 1-2 cloves of garlic;
  • 1 medium sized tomato;
  • 1 medium-sized onion;
  • 50-70 g hard cheese;
  • greens for decoration.

How to make chicken breast chops in the oven under a fur coat:

Wash the chicken fillet and dry it with a paper towel. Then we cut lengthwise into 2 layers - this way we will get two thin chicken chops. Salt and pepper them to taste, if necessary, you can beat the fillet a little with a hammer.

Grease a baking dish of suitable size with vegetable oil and place chicken chops in it.

Separately, melt the butter in a frying pan, add garlic to it (passed through a garlic press or finely chopped). Fry the oil and garlic over medium heat for 1-2 minutes.

Drizzle the melted butter and garlic over the top of the chicken chops.

After this, place the baking dish in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees, for 5 minutes. During this time, of course, the fillet will not have time to cook, but the process will already begin - in some places the chops will turn white, the oil and garlic will be absorbed into them.

Cut the tomato into small cubes, and finely chop the onion. Mix onion and tomato.

Place the onion and tomato on top of the chops so that it forms a “coat”, that is, the vegetables cover the chicken fillet.

Place the form with the chicken fillet under the fur coat into the oven again for 15 minutes. This is enough for the chicken breast to cook and the tomatoes and onions to bake to the desired state.

Chicken chops are on the menu of almost every family. One of the options for preparing this popular dish is chicken chops in a potato coat. Juicy chicken meat in a crispy, crispy potato crust - who can resist?

This dish is perfect for both weekdays and holiday dinners as a hot dish.

  • 4 medium potatoes (approx. 500 g)

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp. l. flour

Preparation:

Cut the chicken fillet in half, two fillets will make four chicken chops.

Place each piece one by one in a plastic bag and beat it off. Chicken fillet is tender meat, and the bag protects it. In addition, the cutting board and hammer remain clean, which is very convenient.

Prepare the sauce by mixing a tablespoon and garlic, passed through a press. Instead of mayonnaise, you can use sour cream or thick natural yogurt.

Salt and pepper each chicken cutlet on both sides and coat with sauce. You can add seasonings that you prefer. Place them in a stack and set aside until they marinate.

Prepare potato skins by grating peeled potatoes on a coarse grater. Lightly squeeze the potatoes and drain the juice.

Let's prepare the batter for the chicken chops. Pour flour into a plate, beat the egg in another plate.

Heat the frying pan over low heat and pour in vegetable oil. How many? Well, so that the bottom of the frying pan is completely covered with oil.

Dredge one chicken cutlet in flour and dip in beaten egg. Then we place it on the palm of our hand and, using a spoon or simply using our hand, carefully spread the potato mixture onto it.

Place the chicken chop in the heated frying pan, potatoes side down. Add more potato mixture on top and smooth it out. Add a little salt to the potatoes. We do the same with the second chop.

Fry chicken chops on both sides until golden brown. After turning them over to the other side, do not forget to add a little salt to the potatoes again. The fire, I remind you, should be small.
